Chelsey Howard, Government Loan Processor

I started in the mortgage industry in Arizona in 1999 as the secretary to a mortgage broker. With hard work and the drive to learn anything new that I could, I worked my way to processing assistant and then to processor. In the new processing position I worked hard and took the opportunity that was open to me to get my DE underwriting certificate.  Later, in 2005, I went to work at a bank as the processing manager.  Having processed in both the retail and wholesale environment, I have worked with the following loan programs; FHA, construction, construction to perm, bridge loans, conventional, US trust, making home affordable programs, and others. I have found my home with Creekside Mortgage where I was introduced to VA home loans.

I arrived in the Pacific Northwest from Arizona via a long route that started in Illinois. There I grew up in a small community, where most of my family still resides. Several family members there, including my grandfather, multiple uncles and numerous cousins have all served in the military. I have very fond memories growing up of my great uncle telling us stories of the Korean and Vietnam War. Having those family members in my life has given me a tender spot in my heart for the military and all that they sacrifice for us.

I enjoy working at Creekside and learning how to process VA home loans while having the opportunity to help families, whether active duty military, veteran or civilian, get into a new home or just a better financial position through a refinance. I take great joy in being able to assist individuals in obtaining the American dream of owning their own home and I look forward to working with you as well.
